Henry Valerian George Wellesley
The Sixth Duke of Wellington
Born 14th July 1912.
Killed in action 16th September 1943
while serving with No.2 Commando. Aged 31. He gave
his life in the best traditions of the British Army
leading his troops in a heroic attack against the
German defences in the Mountains East of Salerno.
