To the Glory of God and in most loving memory of Henry Neville Le Marchant, Captain 2nd Dorset Regiment, killed in action at the Dardanelles 9th August 1915, aged 33 years, "whilst gallantly leading his men." He was the only child of Major A. Le Marchant, late the Dorset Regiment, by whom and by his devoted mother this memorial is erected. "Faithful unto death."
