In glorious memory of Capt: Charles Seymour Pittis: M.C., 8th Batt: Hampshire Regt. - Isle of Wight Rifles - the dearly loved eldest son of Seymour and Kate Pittis of Hale, killed in action near Gaza April 19th 1917: Aged 21 "Faithful unto death."

(Grave to William & Emily draper - of Merston - and) Also of Charles Frederick, dearly loved youngest son of the above late 9th Rifle Brigade. Who died of wounds recieved in action July 1st 1916 aged 26 years. "Faithful unto death." Interred at Habarco Communal Cemetery, France
