This reredos was erected by the Rector and Parish -ioners in 1919 in grateful memory of the men of Warblington Parish who gave Their lives for God King and Country during the Great War 1914-1918

In loving memory of the dear son of William and Harriet M. Rainey. 2nd. Lieut: Victor Thomas James Rainey, 2nd. Battn. Devon Regt. who was killed in action at Ypres in Flanders on Sepr. 30th. 1917 aged 19.

In loving memory of Captain George Gordon Paine M.C. 2nd Batt. [attached 6th] Royal Berkshire Regt. killed in action at Aveluy Wood France on March 27th 1918 aged 24 and of Pte. James Horace Paine 1st Batt. Artists Rifles killed in action near Cambrai on Decr. 30th 1917 aged 19 "Until the day break"

To the Glory of God and in loving memory of Gilbert Hume Norris, Captain Kings Royal Rifle Corps, son of The Rev William Burrell Norris, Rector of this Church, and of Constance, his wife, who died of wounds recieved in action in France on March 9th 1918, aged 31. "Dulce et decorun est pro patria mori"

To the Glory of God and in proud and loving memory of John William Ronald Campbell, M.C. Lieutenant 0f 3rd Worcestershires second son of the late General Sir William Campbell K.C.B., R.M.A., and Frances Maria Campbell, and great grandson of the Revd. William Morris, Rector of this church from 1827-1878. Killed in France on the 15th April 1918, while serving God, King and Country.

In ever honoured memory of Edmund Ives Palmer (Ted) late of this parish who died in Lady-Smith, S.Africa three days before the relief whilst serving with his regiment 19th Hussars, aged 27. Also Richard Harold (Peter) his brother, killed in action in France three weeks befor the armistice, aged 34.

To the Glory of God and in proud memory of William Henry Fry Lieutenant in 2nd Hampshires and 88th Machine Gun Company only son of William Henry and Florence Fryof Denville, Hants killed in action, May 26th 1917, buried at Duisans, France, aged 22 He was in the 29th Division in the evacuations from Sulva Bay and Cape Helles And the Spirit shall return unto God who gave it
