Two lead tablets now in porch of St Nicholas' Church, but originally in Stoneham War Shrine.
(An identical war shrine was also built near Binstead, Isle of Wight by the Willis Fleming family
as a memorial to their son and the parishioners who fell)

1st/1st Battery Hants, R.H.A.,
2nd son of John and Violet Willis Fleming,
of Stoneham Park,
born August 3rd 1896,
killed in action at the battle of Romani, Egypt,
August 4th 1916.
This tablet is dedicated by the Officers,
Non-Commissioned Officers and Men of the battery,
as a mark of respect and affection for a
gallant officer and beloved comrade.
