Awarded the posthumous honour of the Victoria Cross
in recognition of his most conspicuous bravery and
devotion to duty in the course of the battle of Jutland

Mrs W.H. Wilson of Broadview Petersfield
who was killed in action on the 18th of
October 1914 at Paradis, France
aged 39 years
and thus dying thou shalt die greatly.
