BISHOPSTOKE

Framed paper scroll on wall in St Mary's Church.

To the Glory of God and in humble thanksgiving for the victory the peal of bells
in this tower was completed by the addition of three new bells inscribed
+ THANKSGIVING + PEACE + REMEMBRANCE +
The tenor bell was cast fromthree smaller bells from the clock tower
of the L.S.W.R. works at Eastleigh * Presented by the directors of the
company as a memorial to all the railwaymen who gave their lives
in the Great War * And among them especially of the men of this parish
+ whose names are recorded below +
