OTHER INFORMATION: Age 43. Born 30th April 1875. Attested 28th September 1915. He married Lilly Harvey 24th August 1907 in Toronto, Canada. He was wounded June 8th/9th 1917, bullet in lung & shrapnel in hand and arm. He was taken to No.9 British Red Cross Hospital, Calais where he later succumbed to his wounds. He had previously served for thirteen and a half years with the Wiltshire Regiment. Son of Thomas and Elizabeth Germain of 10 Parchment Street Winchester, England in 1881. In 1901 Elizabeth now a widow living at 1 St Johns Street, Winchester.
