OTHER INFORMATION: Born about 1896 at Odiham. In probate address Odiham, Hampshire. In 1911 pupil at St Bernards "Educational Home for the Daughters of Gentlemen" at Hastings Road, Bexhill, Sussex. Daughter of James Lane & Mary Brooks of High Street, Odiham, Hants (1901 & 1911). In October 1916 Mary helped at the Church Institute Canteen at Littlemoor Camp, near Weymouth. On her 21st birthday she contracted influenza, developed complications and admitted to Casterbridge Nursing Home.
