OTHER INFORMATION: MID (LG.4-1-1917). Age 27. Born 9th December 1889 at Lickleyhead Castle, Co. Aberdeen. Wounded 1st July 1916 leading his men in a charge at Mametz. Address in probate is Nairobi, East Africa. In 1901 he was a pupil at Winton House School. Son of Sir Harry Vesey Brooke, K.B.E., and Lady Patricia Brooke, of Fairley, Countesswells, Aberdeen. Served in British East Africa (wounded) and France (where he was mortally wounded). Brother of James Anson Otho & Patrick Harry who also died.
