OTHER INFORMATION: Born 19th November 1887 at Ashe, Basingstoke, Hampshire. Son of Walter & Maris blackburh, in 1901 family living at Hill House Lodge, Sherborne St John. In 1911 serving in the 1st Batalion Hampshire Regiment at Aldershot. Discharged 30th May 1917, no longer physically fit for war service. Discharge address given as 17 Mildmay Terrace, Hartley Wintney, Winchfield, Hants. Had joined army 19th December 1905. He served in France 12th August 1914 until 11th January 1915. Then served home until his discharge. Had a gun shot wound to head. Husband of Bridget Blackburn of 5 North Square, Dorchester, later of 11 Coniston Street, Blackburn Road, Bolton. Had one child - Adrian Edward - born 29th October 1912.
