Charles Broughton Clay Swayne Commander Royal Navy; died whilst serving as Asst. King's Harbour Master, H.M. Dockyard Chatham, 7th November 1942 aged 47. To his beloved memory the bells in this tower were rehung and a sixth added in the year 1949 as the gift of his wife + God's name be praised
